The UX Lead oversees all UX activities in a given area of focus. Reporting to the Director of UX, you will lead a team of designers from strategy to execution to ensure human-centered design is central to everything we do. In this role, you work cross-functionally with stakeholders across the business as a champion of clean, cutting-edge UX, and the processes that make these happen. As a member of the UX leadership team, you’ll be accountable for the growth of our practice and development of our team members.

• Lead a team of UX designers and support on larger, high-profile projects as needed
• Partner with Product, Development, Architecture, and Business Intelligence to define the medium to long-term vision for your vertical(s) by rallying around user pain points and outcomes
• Work closely with UX Research Leads to ensure alignment and focus on generative research needs
• Work to unblock design team members and help to remove impediments and distractions
• Grow designer’s ability to prioritize work and guide the design process so they understand when to explore and when to execute on a solution quickly
• Demonstrated commitment to UX documentation – user flows, sitemaps, prototypes, etc.
• Evangelize the importance of data driven decision making
• Lead with process, but be flexible to unique scenarios, projects, and personnel
• Put forth a strategic, component-based approach to UI design that ensures consistency while playing an active role in the evolution of our Design System
• Be on the lookout for process updates and/or tools that can optimize performance 
• Balance direction with empowerment – create a working environment where designers are supported, but can also make independent decisions 
• Lead team members with a variety of working styles
• Lead the team resiliently through changes in scale, priorities, and pace

• 5+ years of experience in UX design
• 2+ years managing UX teams
• Bachelor’s Degree in a related field (Human-Computer Interactions, Graphic Design, etc.)
• A love for fast-paced, no-ego environments where the primary goal is to do whatever it takes to get the job done
• Understanding of Design Sprints, Lean UX, and Design Thinking
• Design versatility – you are comfortable taking on and leading both UX and visual design tasks 
• A portfolio or example of relevant UX Design work that highlights your ability to align cross-functional teams around a common pain point or outcome
• Experience working as a member of a cross-functional, agile, product development pod and executing projects from start to finish
• Experience in working with user researchers, UX designers, copywriters, engineers and product managers to drive strategy, vision, and execution
• Ability to translate client goals into experiences that developers can implement
• Incredible attention to detail and meticulous organization
• Experience in managing, recruiting, and growing a UX team
• A user-centered approach to product design
• Comfortable juggling a wide range of responsibilities at the same time
• Collaborative approach to working with others
• Proficiency in all major tools of the trade: Sketch, Zeplin, Adobe CS, Miro, etc.
• Experience designing for all mobile platforms with iOS being the most important

• Experience or passion designing accessible experiences
• Prior experience partnering with a dedicated User Research team
• Passion for the sports betting and gaming industries 
• Prior experience working in sports betting/gaming
