Who we are looking for 

A data visionary – literally! You are fascinated by data, no matter where it comes from. Your superpower? Leading data visualization efforts by creating crystal clear, compelling visualizations of data in modern BI platforms – then teasing out and sharing insights from that data. You have top-notch communication skills and you’re in your element juggling priorities in a fast-paced setting where results are everything. You will deliver a full analytics solution from end to end, fielding requirements, ensuring complete data sources, building the visualizations and providing in-depth key insights from this in order to help business partners make data backed decisions. You will also help assist, as necessary, more junior peers with similar initiatives. Design, develop, and implement scalable data extraction, reporting, and analysis.

• Coordinate with Penn Interactive, Penn National Gaming, theScore & Barstool to lead training, communication, and change management to achieve enterprise-wide data insights for a true 360 degree customer analysis.
• Conceptualize and build easy-to-use data products to support deep dives which identify drivers for business trends.
• Present status updates, issues / challenges / risks and solutions to senior management, stakeholders and partners in a succinct manner to drive decision-making and actions.
• Lead meetings to solve issues / challenges / risks by factoring input from partners and diverse points of view.
• Development of sophisticated data visualization and self-service data products that lead to improved performance and accomplishment of strategic and/or operational goals.
• Own relationships with diverse business partners to understand current and future customer and business needs, elicit platform requirements, and define a proactive roadmap for relevant strategic questions.
• Actively evaluate and continuously improve the approach, toolset, and implementation of visual analytics and reporting.

• Identify effective solutions and anticipate future requirements.

• Partner across data engineering & data science and other functional teams to accelerate and use visualization strategies, data capabilities, and insights as part of the company’s integrated data offense.
• Evolve analytics capabilities and champion visualization and dashboarding standard methodologies for UI/UX development, data quality, deployment, and sustainable maintenance, including fast, iterative experimentation and measurement.
• Lead or co-lead projects by identifying project purpose, scope, outcomes, and tasks; estimating time requirements and deadlines; tracking phases of the project lifecycle; monitoring milestone completion; providing timely reporting of and resolving issues that impact project progress; facilitating project meetings; and evaluating and reporting on the effectiveness of the projects in meeting expected outcomes.
• Translate high-level business strategy into reporting, dashboard, and data visualizations.
• Partner with various business stakeholders to identify key factors and requirements for each project, and get buy-in for project approach
• Devise and lead the charter on team's technical evolution that paves the way for delivering analytics at scale, building transformational insights and predictive models, and driving quantified impact across the org.
• Responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining user-friendly visualizations and dashboards, identifying and extracting complex datasets from different sources.
• Apply data visualization standards, research new data visualization approaches, and employ various data visualization technologies and techniques to support decision making.
• Create sophisticated and understandable systems interactions to enable informed decision-making and assessments.
• Illustrate visualization ideas using storyboards, process flows, wireframes, and prototypes.
• Explain complex technical concepts in leadership-facing, easy-to-digest language and visuals
• Identify trends and find patterns in unstructured and semi-structured customer data that can be used to create a more positive customer experience and increase overall application performance.
• Be a part of a team that is in charge of building end-to-end digital transformation capabilities and lead fast moving development teams using Agile methodologies. 

• 5+ years of related experience; Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Analytics, Statistics, or other related quantitative field or equivalent experience preferred
• Experience is desirable in ETL, data analytics, data mining, advanced statistical/predictive modeling and forecasting as well as familiarity with Data Modeling and Data Science principles and implementation.
• Experience building data visualization solutions utilizing BI tools, such as ThoughtSpot, Tableau, Mode
• Advanced experience knowledge of various data sources, tools and technologies used in preparing summaries and reports
• Strong social and presentation skills, with ability to articulate data analysis simply
• Strong analytical and program solving skills are required to interpret data and draw conclusions
• Working understanding of relational database tables (write SQL queries and create DBT models) - an advantage
• Experience with ThoughtSpot, Tableau, Mode - an advantage
• Experience with AWS Redshift - an advantage
• Experience with Python, R, DBT - an advantage
• Experience in the gaming industry - an advantage
