Security Analysts are responsible for monitoring and responding to security events within our environment in addition to participating in security uplift initiatives by developing internal tools and processes to automate security workflow, perform integration work, and threat analysis. The Security Analyst will identify potential security threats by reviewing security alerts, logs and systems for active or potential threats and taking and/or recommending steps to mitigate those threats.
Security Analysts must have a solid understanding of macOS, Linux and AWS. Their work is both proactive (preventing issues before they occur) and reactive. Good written, verbal, and interpersonal skills are essential. A Security Analyst will be relied upon as the initial point of contact for any security related issues and resolve or route to the correct resolver team. Analysts will also participate in security driven escalations, events and project planning.
Security Analysts will be required to do light scripting and may take part in various operations-oriented improvement or enhancement projects. Changes being made by Security Analysts must be done within established change control processes.
