As the Compliance Project Manager (New Markets ),you will assist the entire Penn Interactive Compliance Department in the implementation of the Barstool Online Sportsbook and Casino in new markets. This position will assist the various components of the business to ensure all deadlines and deliverables are met for the Compliance Department to support new market launches.

Your daily responsibilities include

The following and other duties may be assigned as necessary:

  • Create and manage project timelines, backlogs, schedules, and documents new processes.
  • Ensure that projects are proactively managed, executed according to plans, and issues are resolved promptly.
  • Responsible for assisting the Penn Interactive Compliance team with tracking and meeting all required deliveries and deadlines to support Penn Interactive’s new market initiatives.
  • Monitor and report project progress to identify risks and to keep workflow on track.
  • Support Penn National Gaming’s external partner operators in their new market launch planning and preparation efforts.
  • Assist in handling information flow from Compliance to other departments and/or organizations.
  • Coordinate external and internal stakeholder engagements.
  • Organize and participate in stakeholder meetings, develop meeting agendas, prepare presentation items, and capture meeting notes and follows through on open actions.
  • Work cross-functionally with key internal and external stakeholders to identify requirements, risks, issues, actions, decisions, milestones, and ensure deliverables are on schedule.
  • Manage project documentation by ensuring all necessary materials are current, accessible to stakeholders, properly filed and securely stored.
  • Performs other project management duties, as assigned.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of professional work experience within a similar role is required.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Technology, or any related technical field.
  • Ability to understand and adhere to any regulatory standards and changes.
  • Competence in applying knowledge of administrative and Project Management principles, practices, and techniques.
  • Expertise in applying agile Project Management processes, strategies, and methods.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Project life cycle methodologies and Systems Development life cycles.
  • Experience in gathering and understanding requirements and the ability to negotiate the “Right Solution” for the business.
  • Experience working with development teams to plan and deliver quality solutions on schedule.
  • Excellent organizational skills and time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines. 
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.
  • Strong strategic thinking and organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks at a time.
  • Experience working in a highly collaborative environment and promoting a team-first mentality.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a variety of internal and external stakeholders
  • Ability to make effective decisions under pressure, think analytically and be a problem solver.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills capable of maintaining strong relationships.

  • Proficiency in using Microsoft Office tools
  • Must be willing to work in a hybrid environment (in office and remote)
  • Must be able to meet deadlines and to work under the pressure of short time constraints.
  • Must be able to develop and maintain cordial and professional relationships with all levels of the business.
  • + Experience in the gaming industry.
  • + Experience in project management and support tools, such as Trello, Confluence, or Slack.
  • + Experience with business applications, such as Google Suite and Atlassian products.
  • + A passion for sports and/or sports betting.

This job may have supervisory responsibilities.

  • Evaluates team members within the department and delivers constructive feedback to employees regarding performance.
  • Provides recommendation for staffing (including interviewing and hiring) and scheduling (planning, assigning, and directing work) to meet business needs.
  • Manages work procedures and expedites workflow.
  • Provides recommendations for employee performance (disciplining, coaching, and counseling).
