We are seeking an accounts payable & receivable specialist who will be responsible for the day-to-day AP & AR activities of the business. In this role, the individual will be responsible for the accurate and timely processing of invoices, vendor payments, and customer receipts. This role will support the monthly accounting close process as well as the continuous improvement of invoice and payment processes and controls to support the growth of the business. The following and other duties may be assigned as necessary:

• Ownership of the accounts payable and accounts receivable functions for multiple entities.
• Process invoices for payment in accordance with established payment approval matrix, with accurate coding to the appropriate GL account.
• Support “new vendor” setup by ensuring that vendors complete all required paperwork.
• Track vendor spend to ensure that expenses are recorded timely and that the company maintains compliance with vendor related gaming regulations.
• Respond to vendor inquiries and assist with dispute resolution.
• Administer the company’s P-Card program.
• Support accounting close activities by tracking and communicating expenses for month-end accrual.
• Maintain strict confidentiality in all departmental and company matters.
• Comply with all internal controls as required by internal policy.
• Enthusiastically support, actively promote, and demonstrate superior customer service in accordance with department and company standards and programs.
• Assist with other ad hoc accounting and finance projects as needed.

• Bachelor’s Degree preferred or working toward bachelor’s degree, preferred Accounting or Finance; 1-2 years of experience.
• Must have the ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from vendors, customers and regulatory agencies.
• Must have the ability to present information and respond to questions from groups of managers and employees.
• Must have the ability to perform statistical analyses.
• Must have the ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions and percentages.
• Must have the ability to interpret a variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form.
• Must have the ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of situations.
• Intermediate computer knowledge; MS Office.

Supervisory Responsibilities  

This job does not have supervisory responsibilities.

Location/Work Hours

The primary office location will be remote with office time in Philadelphia as needed

Language Skills

Ability to read and interpret documents in English, such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals. Ability to read and communicate verbally in English. Written communication skills in English may also be required.

Reasoning Ability

Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
