The Cook 1 is a vital member of our culinary team, entrusted with the core responsibilities that ensure the efficient operation of our kitchen and the delivery of exceptional dining experiences. The primary duties of the Cook 1 involve receiving daily instructions from the Executive Chef, meticulously preparing ingredients, maintaining kitchen cleanliness, and adhering to recipe guidelines. Close collaboration between the Cook 1 and other kitchen staff, commitment to detail, and dedication to customer service will help create a memorable culinary experience for our guests. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:- Report to Executive Chef at start of shift to receive instructions on daily specials or menu changes. - Complete all tasks, in order, on the prep list from the Head Chef/Executive Chef or other kitchen manager.- Arrange mise en place according to posted instructions and menu requirements. - Wash, chop, and sort ingredients, such as fruits, vegetables, and meat, in preparation for cooking.- Measure quantities of seasonings and other cooking ingredients as indicated by production sheets.- Parboil ingredients, reduce sauces, or otherwise initiate the start of various dishes.- Prepare and plate menu items, meats, soups, and other food items, as ordered, per specifications on a hot food production line with strict attention to detail, speed, and accuracy. - Report spoilage and item discrepancies to supervisor immediately. - Maintain workstation and walk-in coolers in accordance with Hollywood Casino and MD Department of Health Standards. - Clean station and report to Executive Chef for closing instructions.  OTHER DUTUES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:- Track ingredient inventory and collaborate with other kitchen/management staff to order resupply. - Label and stock all ingredients on easily accessible shelves.- Clean dishes, wash cooking utensils and cookware, take out the trash, and sanitize the kitchen.- Perform other duties as assigned by F&B Supervisor/ Executive Chef/ F&B Operations Manager. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: This role has no supervisory responsibilities; however, in the absence of a supervisor, the person in this role may be asked to answer routine questions from co-workers, lead the competition of daily tasks within the department, and/or interact with others when necessary to achieve desired outcomes.

- This position is responsible for providing a high level of customer service and promoting a positive attitude to create a fun and entertaining experience for our guests and Team Members. - Troubleshoot, diagnose and repair a wide variety of equipment. - Test and tear down equipment and replace defective parts and component units such as motors, clutches, belts, hoses or controls. - Perform scheduled preventative maintenance activities, check equipment function and operation and recommend required maintenance action. - Perform repair carpentry, plumbing, painting, flooring, metal working, electrical and roofing needs. - Monitor boiler room equipment. - Assist in training departmental Cast Members. - Install or assist in the installation or relocation of equipment. - Move furniture as directed. - Includes indoor and outdoor high/low cleaning responsibilities. - Operate snow plow and spread salt as needed. - Other duties as assigned.   ADDITIONAL DUTIES/JOB DIMENSIONS Regular attendance in conformance with the standards, which may be established by Hollywood Casino from time to time, is essential to the successful performance of this position.  Team Members with irregular attendance will be subject to Hollywood Casino disciplinary action procedures up to and including termination of employment.   Due to the cyclical nature of the hospitality/entertainment industry, Team Members may be required to work varying-schedules to reflect the business needs of the property.   Upon employment, all Team Members are required to fully comply with Hollywood Casino policies and procedures for the safe and efficient operation of Company facilities.  Team Members who violate Company policies and procedures are subject to disciplinary action up to and including termination of employment.
